Eligibility Requirements
- In order for your refrigerator or freezer to be eligible for a pickup and rebate, it must be a secondary unit (a secondary unit is a refrigerator or freezer not used as your primary unit, ex. a garage or basement unit). It cannot be the primary refrigerator for the residence. Room AC units and dehumidifiers will only be picked up in addition to a qualifying refrigerator or freezer. All units must be in working condition.
- An adult, 18 years of age or older, must be present to sign and release the unit at the time of pickup.
- The unit needs to be plugged in and running on the day of the pickup prior to the pickup crew's arrival.
- Recycling appliance must be disconnected from waterlines prior to the crew's arrival.
- Contractor reserves the right to leave the appliance if removal may cause damage to the property, or is otherwise impractical or unsafe.
- Crews will not be able to remove doors or railings inside the home.

In addition to the FREE pickup, you will receive a $35 check for recycling your fridge or freezer and additional $20 for each dehumidifier and room AC unit.*
*Receipt of rebate is subject to availability of program funds. Georgia Power Company may adjust the rebate amount in order to respond to program demand. Please schedule your pickup today so we can serve you this year.
