LIMITED-TIME OFFER: $100 Rebate for Recycling Your Old, Working Refrigerator or Freezer during our Swing Into Spring Recycling Event!

From April 1 through June 30, 2023, if you are a PSE&G residential electric service customer, you can earn a $100 rebate when you schedule a free appointment and have your refrigerator or freezer picked up for recycling. That's a $50 increase from our standard rebate offer! Schedule an appointment today.

Customers can receive a $100 rebate for each refrigerator or freezer—plus an additional $35 rebate for each room air conditioner or dehumidifier picked up at the same time.

To qualify, customers must schedule a pickup between April 1 and June 30, 2023, and have the pickup occur on or before July 31, 2023.

ELIGIBILITY

  • You must be a current PSE&G New Jersey residential ELECTRIC customer.
  • You must be the owner of the appliance(s) you want to recycle.

PROGRAM GUIDELINES

  • Refrigerator or freezer must be kitchen sized (10-30 cubic feet) and in working order at the time of pickup. Sub-zero models are not eligible.
  • Appliance(s) must be picked up at the service location associated with your account number.
  • As restrictions have eased during the COVID-19 pandemic, PSE&G is offering the option for no contact, in-home or outdoor pick up (garage, porch, or outbuilding).
  • Limit of two refrigerators or freezers per year, per account.
    • $100 rebate per unit.
  • Working room air conditioners and dehumidifiers will be picked up in conjunction with a working refrigerator or freezer. Limit of two per year, per account.
    • $35 rebate per unit.
  • Your rebate check(s) will be mailed to you within 4-6 weeks after pickup of appliance(s).

ON PICKUP DAY

  • For outdoor pickups make sure each appliance is plugged in outside your home—All appliances must be working, clean, and empty.
  • An adult age 18 or older must be present.
  • PSE&G will provide curbside service. Our trucks are not permitted to enter driveways.
  • Each appliance should have a clear, safe path for removal.
