Out of an abundance of caution, we are only collecting appliances from outside of customer residences (patio, porch or behind garage) at this time. By moving your appliance outside prior to your pickup appointment, you'll allow our staff to safely collect and recycle your unit without physical contact with you. Thank you for your understanding.

How to Participate

  • $50┬árebate check per qualifying refrigerator and/or freezer*
  • Applicant must be an El Paso Electric Texas Residential Customer
  • Applicant must own the appliance
  • Refrigerators and freezers must be regular household size (10-30 cubic feet)
  • Appliance must be in working (cooling) order, empty, clean and plugged in at the time of pickup
  • Appliance will be picked up at no charge from your El Paso Electric billing account address
  • Two units maximum per household and program year
  • Rebate check will be mailed within six weeks after appliance pick up
